DNA Testing & It's Uses In Todays Society

by S.Eswara rao

A DNA test performed to critical data or information about the innocence, crime and guilt of someone or trace family ancestry in evidence. DNA used in paternity tests and genetic testing.
May be associated with DNA are useful in several layers.

DNA and forensic medicine

In forensics, DNA fingerprinting is widespread. It is used for some crimes with samples of semen, blood, saliva can be found, and it indicates that hair, there are several methods for DNA. This method polymorphism (AFLP) amplified short tandem repeat (STR), chain reaction (PCR) and RFLP analysis. DNA can also understand the human model since prehistoric times.

Father's DNA test

DNA tests to determine whether a child is a child of a person by comparing DNA from both parents. There are many companies that provide services for paternity testing. Generally three types of firms, the evidence for testing. The first type is a company that specializes in testing and has its own laboratory for testing. In the second category. Businesses that serve others as a broker Running third category, laboratories, paternity testing, the work of others.

DNA and genetic diseases

In these days of genetic testing performed using DNA analysis for a variety of illnesses, diseases, ancestry and other test many things. Genetic testing of DNA from the human body. In our DNA, there are a few lines of code in the box of hair color, height, eye color and other concerned parties. It also includes information about diseases and epidemics. Genetic tests can be performed before or after birth. In the case of genetic testing before birth, the doctor takes some fluid from the mother or fetus at CVS, placental material containing genetic information already. Retest after birth, this is done by blood or adoption of cotton on the inside of the cheek. Particular segment of DNA has not changed and continue from generation to generation. This helps to test DNA, and also for parents to decide.

DNA testing centers

There are centers of different DNA testing provides information about the test. They provide DNA analysis and other tests, such as the father of DNA testing services test bank. Explain the relationship of biological research. The central thesis of DNA samples in accredited laboratories and give highly accurate results. Childsafetyaid, gene tree, Atlanta DNA Center, Inc. and American testing center just a few of the popular DNA testing centers DNA.

It can be rightly said that DNA testing and its benefits permeates every strata of society, because the precision and clarity

DNA - Important Facts About It

by S.Eswara rao

Scientist named Friedrich Miescher discovered DNA. In 1896, the year DNA is found. With respect to gene discovery, we have a very interesting facts. Until 1843,. Researchers in the presence of genes in cells Researchers say the genetic code of the protein.

DNA is very different from structured proteins.DNA four nucleotides, but twenty protein amino acids. Thus, the protein composition of DNA is very different. Therefore we must not confuse DNA to proteins.

We use four-letter genetic code is written. DNA genetic code consists of letters A, G, C, T, A, G guanine and cytosine, adenine, thymine, CT. But we do not have all four characters together. We combine these and a word of three letters, the encoded amino acids. Here Proline is an excellent example of this is encoded as a CCA.

We can even redundancy in DNA. With more than one word encode the same amino acid.

James Watson and Crick discovered the double helix structure of DNA using X-ray crystallography, Rosalind is Frankl. DNA replication occurred after the discovery of the double helix structure to achieve.

Another important fact about DNA is the molecular properties. Although it is a very important part of our body, but perhaps the worst of times. DNA molecules are very fragile. That does not keep well apart. The mechanism that we can our bodies healthy. To fix this error, but what harm can not be repaired, this requires a change. They are the cause of a disease called cancer. Cancer is an incurable disease. We can only try to save the lives of patients on long term

During the process of DNA replication errors can occur. At the end of the process, the number of errors in DNA but is still very low. It was just an error in one billion bases.

Although mutation harm living things that are important to induce genetic variation.

RNA is an intermediary between DNA and proteins.

What Is Deoxyribonucleic Acid (DNA)?

by S.Eswara rao

Deoxyribonucleic acid, DNA, genetic material of all organisms. In the body, human DNA is almost equal to all. Most of the DNA found in the nucleus of DNA called nucleotides. DNA can be called mitochondrial DNA or mtDNA is found in mitochondria.

The information in DNA is carried as a code made up of four chemical bases of the structure: adenine (A), guanine (G), cytosine (C) and thymine (T). Human DNA consists of about three billion bases, and more than 99 percent of the base is the same for everyone. The order or sequence of these bases determines the information available to establish and maintain a body similar to the letters of the alphabet are displayed in a specific order to form words and sentences.

Adenine with thymine and cytosine with guanine pairs with each other, is a unit of base pairs of DNA. Molecules of sugar and phosphate molecules bound to each DNA base. nucleotide consists of a simple sugar base and phosphate. Nucleotides are arranged in two long chains that spiral or double helix. The structure is like a ladder with rungs of base pairs and the sugar molecules and phosphate components of the vertical scale.

An important property of DNA is that it can reproduce copies of themselves or each strand of the DNA double helix to serve as a model for duplication of base sequences. This is important when cells divide because each new cell is an exact copy of DNA must be in the old cell.

DNA sequence analysis is very useful in the study of evolutionary history. Several types of DNA sequences allowed the diversity of life and allow scientists to evolutionary relationships within groups of detailed analysis.

The potential benefits of large efforts to a target sequence of a single gene in all forms of life, the theme is "Taxonomy and DNA", a conference at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, March 9, 12, 2003. Participants of the conference are experts in animals, microorganisms and plant taxonomy, molecular biology and bioinformatics. The purpose of the sequencing project is a major practical method for the determination of species and provide an overview of the history of the evolution of life.

DNA sequencing was also used to try to identify and overcome the limits of the species in populations of organisms appeared to be similar. But using a confusing array of genes and analysis methods within DNA-based identification and phylogenetic research in general, limit the application of the results of certain groups in this study.
